Is that the 31 kHz Amber output to VGA? Reset overscan to standard - Amber doesn't like extreme overscan. Have you tried another monitor? 31 kHz vs 15 kHz?

What monitor? How is it connected? Is the cable shielded? are you using an RTG card? Do you have any high powered electrical devices nearby? Is your screen sitting on top of a wall of magnets? etc....

Please forgive the slight sarcasm on that last question, the point I'm trying to make is that if you need help you need to provide as many details as you can. Giving us too much info is no crime. Not enough is no use.

Add some more info and your sure to get someone who can help, maybe me, maybe someone else, the more info, the better your chances.

Good luck.

Is this a new problem that just started or is this a new system?

I had a program in my startup-sequence in a 1200 I bought years ago that caused screen problems, mostly in interlaced modes.

also does the trimpot for vga adjustment do anything (probably not but worth a shot)
Oh yeah?!?
Well your stupid bit is set,

Hi,
Its a standard Amiga 3000 with 2MB Chip and 8MB Fast Ram.
I havent tried it with a 15hz because I dont have one. I'm using a VGA monitor which works with my PC fine. Dont know what else to say.

Check for battery damage.
Adjust the flickerfixer refinement screw next to the disable switch.
