Probably in the wrong section because I can't navigate this site now, call me thick or whatever.
... But couldn't this new system have been developed on another server untill it was up to speed? I remember the last aorg being shite for a while untill it got as shit-hot as it was before it became extinct (yesterday!), I know you have to release it at some point but this is a mess.

Yes, the new and improved Amiga Org does SUCK !!!! Personally, I like it better the way it was before. Amiga Org was NOT broken, so why fix it?! IT NOW SUCKS !!!!

Okay, just a little more constructive, and then we'll try again. Okay?

From what I've heard, I think they decided the old one was too insecure to use any longer.

Why am I immediately suspicious of wankerish bickering from anybody new with "Master" in their handle?
-
@ AmiMaster,
Rather than blatently spewing unsupported complaints, why don't you provide some constructive criticism point-by-point, backed up with reasoning for each point. That gives us a lot more help to make the site better than what you posted. Until you can do that, don't bother posting. Thank you!

well i wouldnt have used thoose words but seriously,
the site is now UGLY and confusing :-( , it was my
FAV website on the net until today ..
i am trying to get used to this but everything seems so
weird and unlogical + messy .
and the colors look like ATARI.org :-o ...
sorry... thats my rant for today and i hope this is not
the final looks!
i wish the A.org team best of luck :pint:

Actually, pointless bickering from anybody with only a handful of posts is not unusual these days.

In my day we would have flogged the little buggers...

Seems to work about the same as it did before to me.

Hi,
I like it that now I can be notified when I new post is being made in a certain thread. Before, if you did not start the thread, you could not have that. Then you have to remember were you did post. And what if someone asked a question or something. But now that is behind us. :-)

Hmmm....I think it's allright, but how about an even more fitting "retro" theme...
like doing the main home page header/graphic in an "A500" light-beige type color..
with some 'cooling slot' accents or something, and the lettering in the same style
as the old cases...with of course the traditional amiga.org logo in the top left corner
of it (as it is now). I'm by no means an artist, otherwise I'd try to "mock" something up,
but that could develop into a kick-ass theme (and make the "gist" of the site fairly
recognizable to new visitors).

I'm sorry; this is dreadful. Having to open a new page when viewing "News" comments? WTF? Very bad on low bandwidth, guys.
Also, the look is...eh. The color choice looks like something circa 1998, it just does nothing for me.

I realize that site integrity is important. The new features are pretty cool and in time I might get used to the way its laid out, or maybe not. The upper title bar and logo is ugly. The colors are bad - a different theme would be nice. I hope It is not the final design. Where is the shortcut to the latest forums. My favorite Amiga site went from Prime to Prune . . . Yuck ! :ranting:
And did I mention slow.
-
For me speed of the site is as fast if not faster than before i have no complaints with it. :-)

Don't get me wron I think the fact aorg gets updated is excellent, but pleast stick the old theme back on; this really makes me cringe. The ammount of times people said "wow what an excellent looking site" when they saw me looking at amiga.org ahould be enough to make you bring back the old theme.

But it's WAY more easy to use, just try getting to the forums on that site.
