WinUAE and Oldtimer AGA: How?
« on: August 28, 2008, 08:58:30 PM »
Okay, short introduction.

I just came across my CD containing the Amiga game Oldtimer. Being tired I just wanted to play a simple game and thought it was a good idea to try Oldtimer on WinUAE. But after an hour of trying and not getting it to start I turn to you.

What did I try so far?
I installed the latest version of WinUAE (1.5.1). I selected the basic A1200 quick-configuration, placed the A1200 kick 3.1 ROM-file in the right place and added my installation of OS3.9 to the harddisks of WinUAE.

Then started the emulated Amiga and after a little while the workbench shows. Forgot to add FAST-RAM so corrected that (8 MB) and restarted the emulation. I then dragged and dropped the AGA Oldtimer drawer onto my emulated Work partition and started Oldtimer from there. The screen turns grey.... and that's it. No Oldtimer  :-?

So, the question is.... who can post a known-good set of configuration options to get this AGA-CD version of Oldtimer up and running? I'm really interested in how the 3D car-simulation is doing on an emulated Amiga.
Get a SAM, while you can! The new AMIGA is here!
