Recommend a good PC joystick to use, both USB and old style
« on: December 18, 2006, 09:50:05 PM »
I need a USB joystick for my laptop. Any recommendations on what would be good for use with WinUAE?

Even though I don't have a Wico, I liked those the best back in the day. Currently with my A1000 I use a Sega joystick. It would be great to have a Wico USB joystick to use.

Thanks,

Don

They do have a new remake of the competition pro joystick in usb version.

I myself bought the amiga version of the same stick and have been very pleased with it so far. It looks like the competition pro, but feels more like the zipstick when it comes the usage. The buttons also use microswitches.
I have heard though that the first batch of the red usb one had some issues but that blue one is better.

Hello,

I'm using an Arcade Joystick by Kontorland. They are not so expensive and do the job for emulation (I like Mame with this)

I'm sure it won't be hard to find one of these...

And if you are looking for a more expensive but a radical solution:

I haven't tried these but AFAIK they work very well.

Good luck with your gaming experience:)
