« on: December 18, 2003, 04:07:20 PM »
Hello,

I'm using WinUAE and when i play for example Superfrog the sound is like 2 seconds after. How can I prevent this?

Thanks!

Use the latest WinUAE (0.8.23), and make sure you have a CPU >600Mhz

I am using the latest version but how do I check if the CPU is > 600MHz? I'm using a Config downloaded from back2roots. When I go to CPU Tab I can't see any numbers, just that the CPU slider is like on the 4th dot from the left.

Try adjusting the latency in the Audio tab, the audio might geta bit choppy though.

I've tried changing the "sounder driver lag compensation" and the "sound buffer size" in the Sound tab, but, whats latency? (sorry)

latency = lag :-)

All Ican suggest is that you update your sound card drivers...

The lower the latency, the faster the sound is played (ie less delay), but the sound might become choppy.
