I was given an Amiga 2000 last year that had not been used for about 20 years. It booted as soon as I got it home, with it's 2090 card and whopping 10Mb hard drive - So what is the big deal, anyway.

and if you look closely, its not even an Apple IIGS its a IIC in the video.

I would love to get one of those IIGS's but they are really hard to find.

My 23 years old Color Classic (EVERYTHING original - except battery...) boots every single time without issues. I did not even re-cap this thing.

Next time I will start it, I will write it as a news.

It's not news here because we are all insane.  For a normal person this is probably more WTF than news.  Most people would just say "why".

If TechCrunch like that, wait until they get a load of my '50s typewriter; Feeds paper, all keys still leave a good imprint, and the "ding" at the end of a line still works.

TechCrunch should write an article called ""Amiga hasn't shut off in 20 years, still spinning strong!"

Seriously.  I guess I should have made an article about firing up my TI-99/4A that hasn't seen the light of day since 1987, and the NOS Peripheral Expansion Box (PEB) which I was the first person to un-box since it was built in 1982.

Fandroids.  What can ya do? :laugh1:
