So far I really don't have any gripes. Just about everything I normally use is here. I am sure this was a LOT of work. I think you all have done a great job. Glad to see it up and running.

I like the old amiga.org much better than this.  This new format makes it much more difficult to find things.

Give yourself time to adapt to things and also wait for the site (which is a work in progress) to get finalised before deciding it is more difficult.

I've only been using it a day and I am already finding it quite easy to navigate. :)

Hmm... me no likee...

I tend to agree with ferrellsl... Very tricky to get a good 'overview' of what's going on...

Part of the reason I don't visit EAB much is that (while it does sometimes have some useful info) it's not very user-friendly or appealing to look at. The old Amiga.org was just right.

There's more to Amiga.org than the forum, but these days a lot of sites (for reasons we all know) seem to migrate to these 'generic' forum based layouts and lose a lot of what made them great places to visit...

I've just signed up to the 'other' Amiga site - the one that looks a bit like the old Amiga.org :-) Feels like I'm back home already! :-(

I don't think I'll be visiting amiga.org very often now, since I need to give my eyes (and brain!) a break!

Just my $0.02 - no offence to the mods and the hard work they've put in (I know - I've been there!)

Cheers,

Mike.

I guess you didn't pick up the part about it being a work in progress eh?

Only the forum has been ported. The site is in beta. Much work remains outstanding.

Oh well, I guess there's only so many times this message can be repeated.

Haste is waste,  patience is a virtue and all that.

For some reason the new site feels more cramped, despite there being less stuff on-screen. The new layout is going to take a little getting used to, but this shoudln't be too hard given that the layout is pretty logical.

I'm glad to see the new site up and running though.

May take a little "getting used to."  But let's keep in mind that more work has probably been done in the past 7 days on Amiga.org than in the past 7 years on Amiga.com.  -Dave

No problems here. The layout looks ok, forum works nicely and the rest will no doubt follow.

As always, new software with a new look requires some getting used to, but all in all I think it's an improvement.

I like the look of the new Amiga.org.  I haven't tried browsing with Ibrowse yet.  However, it looks good with Firefox.

I wish the latest posts were on the front page by default. And I do like new appearance. It is fresh.

I agree, the most active top 10 posts should be on the front page - it's all I ever used!

Now there seems to be news items too, but I need to scroll down to see them, which sucks big time IMO. Could recent threads be made in more compact form like it used to be? I liked the way that you can see both recent threads and news items with one look on page without need to do anything.

It's improved a lot since I last looked about 10 hours ago!

I must admit , the new design is growing on me, especially with the addition of the recent update its just about as easily navigated as the old one,  but wheres the hidden staff only porn section gone to?
