Yes I would also love to see some new games, and ones that I would enjoy playing would be even better.

What do you mean by an Amiga though and what do you mean by modern games?

If you're talking classic AGA, then it's not going to handle a port of any game of the past 10 odd years because they are all in 3D.

It would be nice to see some more ports to Amiga OS 4.1 though, that would be cool.

Not the "real Amiga" BS again.

Anyway, there are already ports of Quake I-III, C&C Red Alert, and a number of others available for Amiga OS 4. These are getting old, but they're much more modern than most 68k games.

I'd like to see more modern games, which is one of the reasons that I've been working on improving MiniGL over the last year or so. We've seen a few new games, but I'm hoping that there's more coming. We're still dealing with the limitations of existing 3D drivers though.

I think what OS 4.1 needs is not so much ports of the latest mainstream games but some fun unique modern games of it's own.

If FPS (new ones) could end up working on the Amiga, I just might buy a new system. I don't necessarily mean ports, but along the lines of Quake 4, DOOM 3, Crysis..... I don't ask much, do I?

I think I would rather just see more Amiga-style games.

The nice high res 2D stuff.

You cant get the atmosphere of Shadow of the Beast in 3D.
I am a negative, rude, prick.

Same here. Porting For Profit is making OS4 ports of open source games, the one I'm working on now is Trigger (http://happypenguin.org/show?Trigger), but it will take a while before I'll finish the port, I need to debug it using the Linux version to compare how some portions of code behave. There are more nice games out that still need to be ported, too.

P.S. the "Commodore Amiga" part is odd, it means that it's not meant even for Amiga Technologies' Amigas? ;)
