On The Ball by Oregon Software
« on: April 28, 2022, 02:28:30 AM »
It is mentioned at EAB that Oregon Research about 10 years ago let all their software go public domain.

I bought On The Ball back in the day although, it is an older version and would like to get the latest version (1.6?)

Does anyone have an idea how to find it?

Thanks!

Matt

Pardon the mini thread-jacking for a semi-related rant/public service announcement:

Folks, if you're able to get formerly commercial software released as freeware or public domain, put it on Aminet. That's what Aminet is for.
At the very least, put something in docs/anno to tell people where they can find it (GitHub, etc.).

Now back to the search for missing software...

Any idea if 1.6 was distributed as an upgrade patch? e.g., might it be in the Wayback Machine on the Oregon Research website?

Hey Matt,

Great point concerning Aminet...

I just tried wayback (great idea!), nothing...

Hope someone at EAB comes up with something since somebody went through the trouble to ask the owner....

Yes, the personal management software/CRM.  It has features that Organizer and Time Tracker don't have.

Thanks!
