Ultima 7 with Exult on amiga anyone?
« on: January 01, 2006, 05:14:43 PM »
Hello.

Does someone use Exult to run Ultima 7 on his miggy?

I have found an OS 3.1/3.5 version but it freezes without running on my A1200T (the first one of my signature).

Still looking for a working version for OS3.1.

:-)

I have never tried Exult partly because I heard it was buggy.

 But here is a suggestion for you:

Dowload TotalChaosAGA and run it.

If Total Chaos works 100% perfectly then Exult has a problem.

If Total Chaos won't run then software hacks on your system are causing the problem.

The reason I suggest this test is that both games are very large and complicated and run under the OS and multitask and don't take over the machine and hopefully stress your system in the same ways.  And because I know for a fact that Total Chaos is 100% AmigaOS compliant and it is run on a wide variety of systems around the world every day.  Oh and Total Chaos AGA was specially coded for 040 and 060 processors, which you have.

Good luck!  :-)
Wanna try a wonderfull strategy game with lots of handdrawn anims,
Magic Spells and Monsters, Incredible playability and lastability,
