-USB ports - PCMCIA Card

Hello,

Anybody know if this kind of  USB Ports- PCMCIA (see pic) cards can work with any A1200 or A600?

Amiga 1000, 500, 600, 2000, 1200, 4000...

C= VIC 20 / 64 /SX64/ 128

Atari 600XL (SIC Cartdridge)
Atari 800XL (SIO2SD unit)

Nope, not possible. It's a CardBus card (32bit, Amiga's PCMCIA is 16bit) and there are no drivers.

its cardbus (32 bit PCMCIA interface) while amigas PCMCIA ports are PCCARD (16 bit)
no drivers for it.

in short, no, it wont work.

edit : damn beaten to it

FYI, you can have a clock port USB adapter for A1200 (little bit more expensive than the pcmcia usb card probably)

and for the a600 you can buy a a603 memory card which have a clockport. (you may have trouble running the usb stack on 68000 though)

For 68000 machines equipped with a clockport is ony a matter of using Anaiis (68000 USB stack) from Aminet.

It is freeware, BTW.

Our company makes a PC-Card -> USB 1.1 host chip but I think that it would have no market in Amiga land. Subway (which is also our chip) is prolific and the software is all done.
