Title: A.org ownership change again ?
Post by: darkage on November 20, 2018, 03:14:43 AM
I've been absent for donkey years but when I log on today it looks like Amigakit is now the new guardian of A.org ?  When did this take place and any threads about it ?

Well at least when I enter in my credentials the site actually logs me in now :P

I did notice this while reviewing the announcement linked to above:

Quote
We acquired all the Amiga.org brand and trademarks which were originally approved by Commodore in 1994 and pre-dates everything which came after Commodore's demise.

Nevertheless Leaman Computing Ltd (Amigakit) registered an Amiga.org trademark in the U.K.

May, 2018 (https://trademarks.ipo.gov.uk/ipo-tmcase/page/Results/1/UK00003286131)

This was just prior to the site closing for redesign.

Amiga Kit manages, administers and hosts this site amongst others for A-EON.  We also own Amiga.org.uk.
