Did your on-board ethernet work correctly before the enhancer update?

Did they ever get the ethernet driver completed for the on-board network ports? I'm not sure. If not, you may have to get an RTL-8139 compatible network card. Not all cards work with the provided RTL8169 driver though. This PCI-E card has been highly recommended however.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Gigabit-Ethernet-LAN-PCI-E-Express-Network-Card-Desktop-Controller-10-100-1000M/321243272106?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649

Also, did you happen to flash the firmware with an update? If so, you might have to restore the MAC addresses.

To reset your ethernet MAC addresses correctly after a firmware update, perform the following steps:

1. While the animated ball title screen is being displayed, press the ESC key to display the Early StartUp Control menu

2. Select the Command Line option or press the m shortcut key

3. At the X5000> prompt enter the following (pressing enter after each line):

setenv ethaddr
setenv eth1addr
setenv eth2addr
saveenv

4. Once this is saved, reset the system. This will now force the motherboard to retrieve the correct MAC addresses and record them.

Hope this helps.   ;)

The X5000 onboard ethernet adapter is working with the A-EON supplied P50X0 ethernet driver.

There is no need to fiddle with the mac address... we all have the same Fake macaddress anyway :-)

Here is my X5000 using the onboard Eth adapter.

And the router IP address of main then the address of what’s on network then Mac addresses
So ip is 192.168.1.1 then subnet is the 255 one what are the other plug ins
Or which one gets the MAC address thanks

Could u please be clear in what you would like to accomplish ? i guess a working internet connection with the X5000 onboard NIC.
Even though my native language ain't English as well, i would suggest that you use Google Translate to make things a bit more clear.

Some punctuation would probably help too. I must admit I have given up understanding Tiw's posts by now.

Best regards,

The onboard Ethernet not working.the plug in pci  Ethernet works.trynig to put the up,gateway, subnet mask in manually.the reason being it will no go on internet with the automatic dns.the 2 onboard Ethernet slots give me failed no dns hookup when trying to connect to internet.did notice that they reside at 0 and 1 .the Ethernet plug in card also resides at 0.so that looks like a problem right there.
Now when starting the install from the new connection drawer and you pick driver for x5000 then below that
Box it says test connection it responds it’s ok.going further in to finish tells you the objects already exist do you want to overwrite them.i say yes but it still will not work .Usually at this point with the pci Ethernet hookup it comes up with what looks like a cli box telling me the lease IP address until whatever time
Thanks I hope this a lot more clear.

Had to do full reinstall anyway on hd .So I install os 4.1fe ,then Amiga unhancer 1.3 ,then 1.4 all the while rebooting after each upgrade.tried eth 0 then eth 1 onboard still says no dns hookup.
The add on pci Ethernet works fine easy install , everything auto no problem. The auto install for the x5000
Ports says it it has added driver but does not go to next step to tell me the isp, gateway etc.
Incredibly the add on Ethernet card does this no problem thanks Tom
Onboard x5000 Ethernet drivers definitely installed .Actually the question I have is which ethernetport is 0
And which is 1
