I don't really pretend to understand KMOS. They went to a huge amount of trouble to circumvent creditor and former employees salary payments and keep the Amiga name yet they don't really seem interested in anything to do with Amiga. As the owner/renter of the Amiga name they are really the only ones that can provide an official definition of what Amiga is.
Without someone to lead there is no unified way forward and so the retro path is the only way, and how long will that last? Retro is nice, having Natami will solve some of the collector issues, but it's really just re-inventing the past. AROS is thinking about the future but being so tied to the past is going to sink them too.
It takes a vision, a spark of ingenuity every bit as strong as the first time to see the road ahead and design Amiga 2, the next Amiga. Amiga Inc has no vision and wastes time with phoney offers to name stadiums and dotNet development in India.
We need a Jay Miner and there is none in sight.
