You should be able to score a used one for around $100, and the price is only going to go down further when the Wii-U comes out.

For the note, Wii's are exceptionally easy to MOD! ;)

For a series of awesome survival horror games, non-amiga, check out the 3 Penumbra games and Amnesia: The Dark Descent.

Very lovecraftian.  I haven't quite beat the first game, but they all have native versions for Linux, which is a huge plus in my book.

The Penumbra series rules (next to Dark Corners of the Earth of course), though I've never heard of Amnesia. Gonna have to look it up.

yeah, I have the one that came with the first humble bundle and its pretty good. I like games that dont load you up with lots of guns

Amnesia is really scary.. Recommended. Last week I played Fatal Frame on PS2 which is not bad either.
