I have a very nice canon mp990 (multi-function) single sheet flat scanner...works very well for my personal needs...

Really would like to know your tools and techinques.
My main issues are cutting apart (read won't do it) my manuals to get flat sheets and then turning the sheets over 250 (?) times, sigh

4 years later....... Here's how I did it so fast..... I laid the AD516 manual under a jig and cut 1/16 inch off the binding with a radial arm saw up against a super tight fence. I fanned out the pages and then tossed it in the hopper of a Dell duplex printer/scanner. Can't remember the model number now. I totally remember that day!
