Critical mass of fake users had been reached.....
1. Make an announcment.
2. Wait a while.
3. Check if it can actually be done.
4. Wait for someone else to do it.
5. Start working on it while giving out hillarious progress-reports.
6. Deny that you have ever announced it
7. Blame someone else

Looking at whois, one of the domain name servers is actually the main aw.net server, so if the server is down the DNS is down, probably needs a reboot....

@thread

a reminder for those of us that use AWN IRC services: the backup server is up at irc.amigans.net.

To have disappeared so quickly from DNS, it must for sure has had some flawed and optimistic values in SOA. Not even the other NS hosts have zone anymore, something that typically is a limit set to 3-4 weeks, not days.
