A1200 Composite video out dead?
« on: October 20, 2019, 08:39:50 PM »
Hello,

I've tried to hook up the composite video out to a couple of monitors (A 1084S and a Vizio TV/monitor) and there is no signal with either one.  RGB out works fine.   Is there some way to tell for sure that the output is dead or alive?  Use a multimeter?

Thanks,
Rob

It 'maybe' the 1000uf cap thats the issue, or it missing the signal from the video circuit, im going to ask, has it been recapped?? if not it maybe down th leaking caps thats eaten through a trace...
Offering complete Amiga recapping  services including add-ons, mods. We also cater for other makes and models of consoles and computers.

Yes it was recently recapped.  I'm not sure I've ever tried the composite video even when it was new.
