For me Team 17 games were more technical demos than real games... Superfrog is nice to look at, but is so boorrrinngg... A lot of their games are way too hard too: ProjectX,...

Bitmap Brothers games were technically inferior (slow, less colors, jerky scrolling,...) but had a more polished gameplay: Gods is real great,...

I have to go with Team 17, both in gamesplay and quality, plus they supported the Amiga as there number 1 platform for a long time, they pushed the hardware to the limits Alien breed 3d 2 anyone and really took risks and supported the platform as long as they could. Plus how many other compinys took the risk of holding a competition to create a game and then have it published by them, Worms anyone.

Nice idea for a thread this.

You should do a knockout tournament to find the best Amiga publisher.
I think Team 17 are currently winning this round.
I remember most of my fave amiga games were by Team 17.
I loved playing Speris Legacy

Though they upset me recently when they released Leisure Suit Larry: Box Office Bust PS3

The original poster wasn't asking about technically proficient game developers but was basically asking who produced the best games.

Speedball 2 and Worms are both remembered fondly by a lot of people.  Neither were revolutionary in their design.
