What if the person doesn't own AmiStore and still uses A500 as his main Amiga. How does a person go about getting one?

What if the person doesn't own AmiStore and still uses A500 as his main Amiga. How does a person go about getting one?
How does such a person install OS 4.1 on his A500?
-
Good stuff, wasn't there an OS3 version in the works too?
-
OS3 version is still on my A1200 being tested :) It is a few iterations behind on the development/bug fix curve so will be released later.
-
Great ^^ Defintly getting the WB 3.x version for my A1200.
-

I was asking about 68k version.
-
Downloaded and installed :pint:

You and me both :hammer:
Nice work team!

I thought the client was developed using Hollywood (http://www.hollywood-mal.com)?
AFAIK there is support to create AmigaOS 3 (m68k) binaries in Hollywood.
EDIT: Never mind, I was thinking of the AMIStore client, not MultiViewerNG. I guess both of these needs an OS3 68k version to support classic hardware. I mean, how would you get MultiViewerNG without having a 68k version of AMIStore?

Same way you got PPaint? Download it from their website: http://www.ppaint.com/

Humm, is time to Eye Viewer and free!

@amigakit
very pleased to see multiviewer has been released. however i'm having some difficulty this morning with my purchase. here are the steps done:
- purchase multiviewer by clicking 'buy'
- go to shopping bag and checkout
- complete transaction with paypal
- after some time amistore gives error, saying it could not connect to the server to verify balance
- logout of amisphere account
- log back into amisphere account, now showing balance of $9.30 (even though paypal charged $10.45)
- multiviewer still in shopping bag, so delete from bag
- go to click buy again, but amistore says i have insufficient funds -- even though the item costs $9.30 and i have exactly $9.30 in available funds
i have a screenshot of this here (http://www.intuitionbase.com/misc/balance.png). what am i doing wrong?! :(

Hi
Thanks for buying it !
Go back into shopping bag, when MultiViewer is still in the bag, press Checkout button and wait a minute or two, the funds should "synchronise" with the balance on the account and your purchase should be completed.
-
@amigakit
thanks! that sorted it. i now have it installed and am already using it. a big thanks for commissioning andy to do this!

Great news! Enjoy!

I was asking about 68k version.
Amistore installer&downloader is os4.1 only.
Multiviewer is delayed, as written in the announcement.
No product page, so no direct download.
And i doubt that an A500 is powerful enough, not to mention its limited memory.
-
The OS3 version will be a direct download option from http://www.amistore.net website like the new PPaint OS3.
The OS3 version is not "delayed", it is just at a different development position to the OS4 version. For example, Andy has had a lot more work to do on the OS3 version with ensuring compatibility with the older ReAction gagdets which have missing functionality from the OS4 versions. This adds development time to the project.

What page to browse at? Can't see how this will help. Please give more details.

Spitting hairs? It takes time and it it may released at later point, does "delay" say something different`?
Addendum:
OT: User Agreement Terms & Conditions shall be confirmed when registering. But there is no page accessible to read them before.

He was giving an example. Classic/OS3 users who buy PPaint receive a direct download link (since they can't run AmiStore). Am sure MultiViewer for classic systems will receive a similar direct download link page "when it's ready"(TM). ;)

For it to be delayed would suggest there had been a release date that had been passed. It's just not ready or due for release
-
Purchased and installed. Looks good so far, and definately an improvement. Thanks for the continued development.
-
Thanks very much for the purchase.
