I tried yesterdays build (3/18) and the NVidia driver was not on it.  Does anyone know if the 3/19 build includes it?

It was added to the main build last night AFAIK, so it should be in tonight's build :-)

I dled the nightly build and burned it to a CD.

Excuse the ignorance....

So, is this a 2D nVidia driver, 3D, nForce chipset stuff or ?

I thought nVidia were a bit closed off to alternate OS driver development.

Anyway, sounds interesting....but, then most amiga related stuff does :-)

It's a 2D driver for most of the NVIDIA chipsets produced so far. It's successfully been tested with TNT2, Geforce2/3/4 and nForce, but as said it should work with most NVIDIA chipsets.

There are a couple of open source drivers for NVIDIA cards, one comes from XFree86, the other comes from OBOS, both are licensed under a MIT (BSD-like) license. The AROS driver is partly based on the XFree86 one, but it also contains some original stuff not found in any of the other drivers already available.

We lack a screenmode preference ap. Yesterday I thought I'd write one, but got carried away by other more important stuff. Perhaps I'll work on it during this week-end, but don't hold your breath ;-)

Tried out the driver on a GeForce2Go (mobile version on my laptop): vertical colorized lines and nothing else.
Completely unusable.

Cdrom continue to load and *maybe* wanderer it's working... but how do I know?

Anyway: seems to me aros it's progressing a lot! Good works guys!
Just a thing: what about improve your main scope of being compatible with OS3.1 and starts to consider the way OS4 behave (library access, memory management, ...)?

Works great on my cheap GeForce4. Tried a couple of nightlies before this one which failed but everything seems to be ok again now. Keep up the good work everyone!  :-)
