Looking to sell my SX32 Pro - What's a good price for one?
« on: July 20, 2008, 05:41:14 PM »
Hi

Now I've got an Efika and Morphos 2.0, I'm thinking of selling my SX32Pro and CD32 set-up.  Just not sure what I should set the reserve for (or indeed sell at) the SX32.

Think I paid in the region of £250 for it a few years ago off ebay, they still worth the same now?

It's an '030 40mhz and it would come with the hard drive and 32mb of ram.

Also got a brand new A4000 keyboard which I imported from Italy a few years ago and have never used.  Got to be worth £30 at least. Although if there is a way to use it with the Efika I'd keep it. That possible?

I think you could ask the same.

Use a fixed price, and use amiga.org and or amibay.com, unless you want the insurance ebay gives.

Don't sell the keyboard. One day it will come to use. Either with a catweasel mk4, or another way. Only reason to sell it would be to help out a fellow amiga owner in need.  So keep that unless someone desperate asks for it whom you take pity on.

Who knows? Sooner or later there is a os4, morph2 or aros capable platform that has catweasel capabilities, and then you want your keyboard:)
Or perhaps it's possible to write drivers for it using i minidin to usb adapter?

Keep it:)
A posting a day keeps the sanity away...

A4000 keyboards are not worth £30

If you fitted an IDE-CF adapter, a 2Gig (or more card) and pre-installed Workbench and some software I am sure you'd get well over £250

Especially if you included an RGB SCART cable.

I paid £65 recently for an untested, sold as seen, non-pro SX32. (Which may or may not give you help with your pricing).

The main problem with SX32-MK1 (and SX32-Pro) is that they can be a loose fit on the CD32 edge connector and cause problems. If you can testify that you've never had any problems (perhaps sell your CD32 with the SX32-Pro to ensure a known fit) then the price will reflect this.

It's not worth much, so I give you 10 Euro for it ..just kidding! ;-)
Some say it's a collector's item, others say it's overrated. In my humble opinion, it's a brilliant piece of Amiga engineering by Thomas Dellert of DCE :-D

@ alexh, they are worth alot these days, you just need to look on the fleaBay to see standard gear reach some damn right stupid prices. Just slap some "RARE" keywords on it and job done...

Nonsense, I've bought 3 over the last 2 years and never paid more than £10

After all you can get a keyboard adapter for a little bit more and use any PC keyboard.

Black CDTV keyboards are the only ones which are worth slightly more as they are sought after by people wanting to create sprayed "Black" desktop Amiga's

eGay isn`t a suitable platform to start constructing prices on, & anything is only worth, what someone is willing to pay for it!

If you want top-banana money for it, get it on eGay and Gloss the Ad. It`ll be like flies to Dog Sh1t!  :-D

Meantime, it`s your choice & you have to sleep at night!

Best of luck though & I hope you get what you want for it. They are quite a rare item to find working. :-)

Oh please!

So all sellers of Amiga gear on eBay are evil and should feel guilty about their decision to use eBay instead of selling their gear to the cheapskates that want to pay half the price or less and think that they KNOW what the gear should really be worth?

It is worth what ever buyers are willing to pay for it, PERIOD!
How are you helping the Amiga community? :)
