I need some help! (No not the men in white coats thankyou!)
I have recently got Payback (from Apex designs) and am really enjoying
it. However I am having some difficualty with the fifth level, when
you are in prison. I can't get out! No matter what I try I just can't
find a way out. I have founnd the key and can get outside (well once i
did) but most of the time I just get shot and killed.
Does anyone know where I can find a gun or, and as much as I am loafed
to ask, a cheat to give me temporary invunorbility or something to
stop the cops shooting at me?
I have loved the game, but am getting really frustrated now!

had to do that, sorry but I only tried playing the demo on my once equiped cyberstorm 060/50 with 118Mgb ram 4000 with cybervision 643d, and it still ran like trash.

I am running it on WinUAE and runs fine. Just need help in starting this feking level! :lol:

Have you actually got out of the main building?
If not, you will need to find the correct route. Certain routes will
trip alarms, others will not. You also need to make sure no guards see
you.
There is a tricky bit near the exit where you have to walk around a
square with a couple of guards, just take it slow and you will be
fine.
Once you get outside, do not simply head for the little guard hut with
the boat - you will certainly die. Instead, walk carefully around the
edge of the building and around the back.
Somewhere, I forget where since it's a while since I played, there is
a room with a cache of weapons for you to collect. Once you have
those, you can blast your way through the guard hut to get out. Be
careful, since they use shotguns and can kill you in one hit.
Once you get in the boat, even if no alarms had been tripped before,
there will be a lot of police after you. You need to reach the other
side of the water, get out then find a car to get to a hideout. Try to
find a tough car if you can, since lots of police will be trying to
ram you.

The most important thing to remember is to be sneaky. Try to avoid
being seen by the nasty police officers! If I remember right you can
sometimes avoid being caught and put back behind bars (if you trip the
alarms) by finding a quiet place to hide out till things settle down
again. It is a difficult level, but you eventually get the hang of
it. Be warned the police go beserk on the other side of the river!!

If you are able to evade the police, and obtain the key, then it is not *too* hard from then on.
Assuming you made your way up to the NORTH exit (i.e. where the boat is near), time your exit to when the policeman is facing the other way (giving yourself enough time in case he turns around).
Using the key to open the door, you have a choice. You could go approximately north. Hugging the walls until you get to the north fence, there should be a flamethrower in the North-East corner for you to protect yourself with.
Then, you could either shoot the port guard and steal the boat (a difficult way), or go south of the prison exit and locate a helipad. I am unsure of what prompts the helicopter to arrive, but it is usually present when I play the level. By flying the helicopter, you can easily fly to the safe house whilst avoiding the police.
If you have the original, unupdated version, or update 6, I could supply you with a tutorial to show the above.

I have found the easiest way is to get the key, let
the guard spot you, tripping the alarm, then run to
the right where there are benches to hide behind.
The guards will come towards you and shoot, but you
will be safe. Eventually, their ammo will run out.
This method takes ages, and you will have to keep
tempting out guards and letting them shot all their
ammo, but it works.

Has anyone managed to get cd playback via winuae/amiga forever 5.0?
I am not sure how to set the audio options to reckognise the cdrom.
Help appreciated.

I have completed Payback and I din't know about a room full of weapons. I used a flamethrower just around the corner from the guard hut and the boat.

Payback should ask you to set up the CD audio at the beggining of the game before anything is even done in the game.
