I am shocked and stunned that no one has yet mentioned (not that I seen) FRONTIER.  Best game ever.  Played it for hrs on end day after day when I first got it and still play it every now and then but every time its started its on for a least 5 hrs.

Others include

Monkey Island
Monkey Island 2
Lost Vikings
Beneath A Steel Sky
Bubble Bobble
Wings

I do not play Frontier anymore because of the bugs,
(cant get bulletin and such),
and because of the repeated pirate laser duels
within each solar system.
(the first 2 is fun, but 5 more... not so much)
Hopelessly addicted to the world\'s best strategy game.

After owning my (first) A500 for a few years and collecting a lot of boxed originals early on, I noticed many games that I would play for a week or two, while they were new, then never spend more than 5-10 minute stints on them again.

But, there were a -small- number of Amiga titles I'd play even when I didnt really feel like gaming on my A500;

-Rodland
-Buggy Boy
-Bubble Bobble
?

Quick, simple pick-up-and-play arcade style games.

Hi All-
Short games that give a little work break endure in my house.  The PD port of Freecell solitare is almost an addiction- and has the advantage of taking back several moves more than the PC version.  Crashes every so often, but not so bad that I'm not addicted.

Deluxe Galaga & MegaBall had a good run too, but Freecell has a grip on my brainstem or something.

I remember when friends used to visit me years ago, the game we always played was suprisingly a shareware game, it had great fast gameplay for 2 players but sometimes had problems with the way it made random maps, the game was Extreme Violence.

The game's author seems to have released it as freeware (assuming the shareware had some limitation or nag screen, I don't know).  Might give it a try.
