Title: Mediator sx software setup... Not the 5 minute job I hoped for :(
Post by: zx6r6 on March 12, 2005, 09:15:31 PM
Hi Guys,
Having recently got back into the miggy scene (and even more recently blowing up my towered 1200!) I thought I'd go the whole hog and buy a new system. Its now consists of a blizzard 060 50 32meg,mirage tower, mediator sx board, voodoo 3000 16mb, soundblaster card,10/100 network adapter, powerflyer mk2 and the usual other bits and pieces. I've got OS 3.5 installed aswell as the drivers on the mediator disk. Having used windoze boxes for a few years I thought that when you installed the drivers it would just 'magically' work with the OS. Being as it doesnt can anyone give me a brief overview of where I should start! I'm dying to use a gfx card equipped miggy but at the minute I want to throw the thing out the window!
ANY help or guideance is much appreciated!

There's a text file on the MMCD that tells you all the steps you need to take.

I used a Mediator in my A3000 and got it the day it was released. Its
great looking when you get it all working! If you need a network card
let me know. i still have about 10 or so from when I had the Amiga. i
went Pegasos now and never looked back.

To make life a bit more simple for you I recomend you get a router and
find MiamiDX. I had loads of trouble with my network card dropping off
line and solved it using a router. If you need any help just ask.
