Thread redirector?

I was wondering if there was a 1:1 mapping of thread numbers on the old site and on the new one??

If so could we set up a re-director (some sort of script) from the old address :

This would fix the squillions of links within posts.

Failing that, a one-off script could perform a regular expression match and replace based on the mapping. It could probably take a while to run though.
