Jumper on floppy connector to prevent boot delay
« on: December 09, 2006, 02:17:06 PM »
Hello to all, some time ago i read here about a user wanting to remove the slow down on hard disk boot on an a1200 and was told to put a jumper on the pin 1 on the floppy connector if they won't be using it. Now i want to do that on my 1200 because i will no longer use the floppy, but i have surfed through the posts on the board and cannot find it here. Has anyone remember it or tell me the exact procedure?. It was something about putting a jumper involving the pin1 of the disk drive, but can't remember exactly how or the details. Is there somo more things to do?
Thanks in advance!!!!

No, you connect two resistors between some of the pins on the IDE connector. There are plans on Aminet.
