4x 1GB in now, you can remove 2x of them and replace with 2x2GB sticks and get 6GB ram as long as same size are in the same channel :)

Whar web browser do you use? If IE then "internet options" -> "Connections" -> "LAN Settings" -> uncheck Automaticly detect settings and see if the response time gets better.

W8 was not my taste at all, I do not like the path Windows is going, but it is usable if you install classic shell http://classicshell.sourceforge.net/, then atleast you get a start menu and classic explorer.

Some like W8 some don't, I'm not a fan of the route, neither am I a fan of the Unity shell interface used in ubuntu nowdays but at least I got the option to switch to whatever I want in linux.

I got Windows 8 a couple of weeks ago, and somethings are good and somethings are bad, it gets better each day, but i will not upgrade my others PC with Windows 8 for now :) I am happy with them having Windows 98 ( good to have to play old games ) and XP and Windows 7.
