Pin 1 External Clock on Amiga video port

In restoring an Amiga 1000 motherboard, I noticed pin 1 (XCLK external clock) is broken off. Wondering how important it really is before I look into replacing the port. Maybe it's only used with external TBC's?

I don't think you can call it 'restored' until you fix the broken parts.

The most useful info I could find about pin 1 is in this thread. In summary it looks like a way of using an external source to change the Amiga clock signal frequency; it affects the entire system but results in a change in Video signal frequency.

Are you planning on using a Genlock or switching between PAL and NTSC? Consider if you NEED this at the moment instead of taking a risk on the repair.
