Os 3.2 development preview
« on: August 28, 2019, 07:00:48 PM »
Without many words, I'm attaching a screen snapshot of the current development state as installed on my system. There are a couple of individual modifications here (such as the shape of the mouse pointer, the VIF: volume or the AsyncRun utility, neither of which are part of the Os), but pretty much else is native.

Maybe you'd like to find out which new features are shown here. Have fun with our little "late summer puzzle".

Well, no scrollbars on the Shell, but at least it's not topaz/8 anymore. ;D

And here goes the first point. GadTools became font-sensitive, and the new preference editors and all other system tools use it. Thus, the layout scales with the fonts. Whether we will also get reaction prefs, or only that, is yet to see.

Oh, just a dummy, not part of the Os. But yes, you can now specify in the printer preferences the name of the output device, not only serial or parallel device. The second point.

We have no date for it.

It is currently in development, and development depends on our free time which varies a lot on an individual basis. So it is really hard to estimate.

Hm, if the pic shows the real preferences, than it looks like one can add own 'variables/numbers' to the WB screen title, as the 'update' suggests...  ???

There goes another point. Yes, Marcus updated the workbench and provided a nice enhancement of the workbench prefs that allow you to customize the workbench title.

This has always been changable from the font prefs as 'System Default' font. Looks like topaz 11 is being used here.
