Amiga system box and packing art collection?
« on: February 06, 2015, 02:59:11 PM »
I was just looking at an eBay auction with pictures of a nice (looks mint) original Amiga 1000 shipping box. I was thinking that it would be kind of cool if there was a collection of good pictures of all the Amiga hardware boxes. I know I have a few rare ones still, like an original A3000T shipping carton, A4000D carton, etc.

What do you think?
Dumb idea or ...?

I imagine the box for a 3000T would be something akin to the size a washing machine comes in.  ;)

Couldn't agree more. I have spent a very long time collecting the box art for the Amiga. The contents inside are also as important. I have very often surprised a seller that I collect from that I only wanted the box. I spent like an eternity trying to get the polystyrene cheese for the A500 that held the modulator. People throw the boxes away. I keep everything... even now.

Here are one or two images that might interest you. I would love to catalogue all my boxes. I just need a good sized studio for the photography.

My Desktop Dynamite box is still the best of the best.
