Time-Line and Flame-Line
« on: March 30, 2004, 09:31:17 PM »
After reading Tig's timeline from the Gary Harre interview newsitem, it dawned on me that this would be something kind of neat to have on AO as a feature in the vein of "Editorials."

Timelines could be seperated in categories such as C=, Escom, Gateway, etc.

A FlameLine (or is that FlameOn!) could be created to cover some of the more colorful and amusing flames seen over the years.  Such amazing flamewars as PowerUP vs. WarpUP, CyberGFX vs. P96, etc.

The timeline thing should be "factual," while a flameline could be geared for amusement.  Who can forget such wonderful flames as the wars between Neko and MikeB?  Could we delve so far into history as to relive such wars as seen between Ben Williams of BlackBelt/Imagemaster and Perry Kivolowitz of ASDG arguing over image processors?  Even classic moves of ultimate stupidity, like HiSoft's IBrowse registration page that looked more like a warning than a sales pitch, could be included!

On second thought, doing so may make us all look like nuts. nevermind, baaaad idea!
Regards,
Targhan

Tooooo late!!!
:roflmao:

actually, the good thing about having a "history" of nonsense is it shows that people will argue about anything for no reason, and well do so repeatedly.

I doubt anyone will "learn" anything, but it's good for a laugh!
